The commitment of continuing to deliver high quality services and relationships to our clients and partners has been the backbone of our business in Australia since 1997. During these challenging times our commitment remains steadfast and is fully supported by our parent the Sumitomo Corporation of Japan.
Summit Fleet has been communicating consistently with all our business partners and team members whilst adjusting our business in accordance with the directions of the Australian and State Governments. We are ensuring that wherever possible, our people, clients, suppliers and the broader community are provided with a safe and healthy environment.
In order to manage the various impacts of COVID-19 as the situation has evolved, we have enacted our Business Continuity Plan. The following actions have been taken to mitigate potential impacts to our business operations and those that need our support:
Our Team Members
- We remain open for business and have empowered and encouraged all team members to utilise their remote facilities and provisioned new hardware where necessary.
- We are currently operating with up to 100% “work from home” capability and continuing to use electronic document transmission and approval practices to reduce reliance on printing and “hard copies.”
- All our offices are accessible when required, however have increased social distancing acts placed upon them and enhanced sanitary amenities are available.
- Technology initiatives introduced in the last 12 months have naturally reached a high level of adoption as we successfully interact through our unified communication and collaboration platform, combining chat, video meetings, file storage and application integration.
- Multi-layer team interactions are being held with a range of initiatives including virtual coffee breaks, lunches and even virtual Friday afternoon drinks to maintain our team connectivity.
Our Business Partners
- All phone capabilities remain in place and our recently upgraded VoIP platform allows our team members desk phones to ring through on their PC’s and mobiles, this includes any services extended through 1800 FLEETLEASE (1800 353 385).
- We are successfully delivering all our customer’s business reviews, presentations and meetings through videoconferencing and screen share capabilities.
- All our payment processes have been reviewed to ensure continuity and cashflow support to our suppliers.
- We are working within our protocols with impacted customers to manage related hardship.
As this is an evolving situation, Summit Fleet will continue to monitor the developments and adapt our Business Continuity Plan to manage the situation and its impacts. We will continue to keep related stakeholders informed if the situation changes regarding our services being impacted or any other service disruptions.
From the team at Summit Fleet we would like to urge everyone to stay safe and healthy. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have concerns or questions.
