Summit Fleet Leasing and Management Announce Senior Management Changes

Summit Fleet would like to advise that General Manager David Clinch has been promoted to the role of Group Executive. In this role David will be responsible for the continued expansion of business and relationship pathways through the broader Sumitomo Group, as development continues with the groups existing global collaborations for mobility and energy efficient integrated platforms.

David has been succeeded by Darren Gore who now leads the Australian Fleet Leasing and Management business. Darren joined Summit Fleet in 2010 and has an automotive, marine, and fleet management industry background that dates back to 1992.

The leadership transition commenced a few months ago with formalities occurring at the start of April.

David Clinch said, “I am looking forward to focusing on the synergies that the Sumitomo Group has in the energy and mobility sectors, the opportunity of converging these into genuine value propositions for the changing needs of an electrified automotive future is very exciting.” He went on to say. “I am very proud of the way we have evolved the Summit Fleet business and look forward to supporting Darren and the team through the next phase of development.”

In assessing the future for Summit Fleet, Darren stated “We have a very stable and nimble capability which we have used to great effect in designing customer centric fleet solutions, the client feedback is fantastic, we are well positioned to continue and improve on our high quality service delivery.” Darren went on to add “David’s leadership in bringing together a strong business team who have helped evolve Summit Fleet is a great legacy to inherit and I am looking forward to his continued guidance and expertise as we all play a part in the future of mobility.”
